Connect bsport to BoxPass
Four steps for bsport studios: create the free BoxPass drop-in pass, get an API key from bsport support, paste it into BoxPass and pick your location.
- 1
Create the BoxPass drop-in pass
In bsport, create a class pass called “BoxPass drop-in”, priced at £0, staff-only (not sold to clients). BoxPass athletes have already paid BoxPass, so their bsport booking uses this free pass and never charges them.
- 2
Ask bsport support for an API key
Contact bsport support and ask for a Public API key for BoxPass for your company. They will also tell you your Company ID (and a Franchisor ID if you run a franchise).
- 3
Paste the key and Company ID
In BoxPass, open My gym → Timetable → bsport and paste the key and Company ID, then press Test connection. The key is stored encrypted and never shown again.
- 4
Pick your location
If your company has more than one location in bsport, choose the one this BoxPass gym is, then press Connect. Classes for the next 30 days appear within a minute.
Good to know
bsport does not let partners hand out passes, so the first time a new athlete books you will get an email asking you to give them the free “BoxPass drop-in” pass in bsport. After that their bookings go straight onto your register.
BoxPass books athletes without using credits and without bsport emailing them — BoxPass sends their confirmation. When BoxPass first adds an athlete to your bsport client list, bsport may send its own welcome email unless you have switched that off in bsport.
Cancel a class in bsport and BoxPass refunds its athletes in full automatically. Athletes can cancel in BoxPass up to 24 hours before the class.
